Fight to keep a direct line from customer conversations to code, even if it means skipping ceremonies that look responsible on paper.
Keep engineering, design, and the person talking to customers in one room (or one channel).
Ship something end-to-end every week, even if it is small. Momentum is a morale tool.
Kill projects publicly when they are not working. Teams learn faster from visible cancellations than from quiet ones.
Fundraising is a story-telling exercise grounded in real numbers. Investors are not buying your deck; they are buying your ability to explain why this market, this product, and this team win. If you cannot articulate that in five slides, more polish on the sixth will not save you.
Treat every board update, investor email, and all-hands as a chance to sharpen that story. The version you tell yourself on a Tuesday becomes the version you pitch on a Friday — keep it honest, and the rest tends to follow.
